palpitations are totally normal during pregnacy. Its your heart trying to keep up the the extra blood volume plus the hormones can trigger them.
I started getting them with my 3rd pregnancy and saw a cardiologist. everything was fine.

It could be normal, but have you had your thyroid checked recently? I have hypothyroidism and I have these heart things. They are called PVC's (premature ventricular contractions) or palpitations or arrhythmias and usually what your heart does is skip a beat and then beat once really hard to "catch up" and then it's back to normal until it happens again. Mine are caused when I have excess amounts of caffiene and sometimes stress in combination with my thyroid disorder or if my thyroid medication needs to be adjusted. They are usually only life threatening if you have a damaged heart. I can go months at a time w/o a single occurrence and then they may happen for several days in a row and stop just as suddenly as they started and then not happen for a while...... I would say nothing to be too concerned over, just make sure you let your OB know at your next appt. And maybe suggest having your thyroid checked if it hasn't been during your pregnancy and especially if you have a family history of thyroid disorder.

It's fairly common any time, not just during pregnancy. What you had were palpitations, and they often occur when there is too much gas in the stomach. During pregnancy, there is a lot of pressure in the abdomen, and that could cause palpitations. If you're worried about it, you might mention it to your gyno the next time you go in for a checkup. He or she will probably be able to reassure you. Good luck!

Yes it is fine, unless it gets really bad to the point that it causes other problems. But I think that you should still speak with your doctor to be safe. Good luck.
