I have read the book just within the past week. Bought it at Borders. I really enjoyed the book. Yes she does make it all about the men, but that is the whole point of the book. You just need to read it with an open mind and pick and choose what you think it a bunch of crap and what actually makes sense. She makes a lot of good points.

I think Dr. Laura makes too many excuses for men and makes husbands' bad behavior the womens' fault. I read the book and personally really disliked it. Of course, I don't like anything that she has written, I only read that book because a friend gave it to me and she really enjoyed it. Of course, she has stuck in a relationship with a loser for 7 years and of course, thinks maybe if she treats him better than the relationship will get better. The reality however is that her husband is a loser and probably will never change...

Dr Laura, the one who's divorced?

Dr. Laura has had two failed marriages, committed adultery with the man who eventually became her second husband so she could get the job she has now. Only thing I might consider her to be an expert on is how to abandon one family to whore oneself to get a job.

I can change him! I know I can!!! Then we'll both be soooo super happy and life will be perfect. Sound farmilliar? You can get the same information from any supermarket tabloid, McCalls mag, or the Oprah show. The book is best used to level the couch or as tinder.

She suggests having sex with your husband with the notion that he will then be so happy and eager to please you that he will do housework and be a super-neato guy. Thats a long way of saying, "buy some love with whats between your legs". Dont get me started.
