Extra consideration for ghostly songs involving Hank Williams Sr. I can only think of two David Allen Coe's "The Ride" and Alan Jackson's "Midnight in Montgomery".

Zona Jones: House of negotiable affections is about a haunted cat house.
Gibson Miller Band: Haunted Honky Tonk is about a road side Honky Tonk that is Haunted.
Mark Chesnutt: Talking to Hank.

Haunted Honky Tonk talks about The Ghost of Ol' Hank Williams. Pretty good song.

When I read your question, the first song for me, too, to pop in my head was Alan Jackson's "Midnight In Montgomery".

There's also one by the Del McCoury Band "It's Just The Night"....the music is creepy, too...it's GREAT!!!! Love it!!!

And what about Sammy Kershaw's version of "Haunted Heart"?

How about "Laurie (Strange Things Happen)" by Dickey Lee? He started out as a pop singer but had numerous country hits in the 1970s. This ties in with the urban legend regarding the man who picks up a female hitchhiker on a lonely road only to find out that she had died one year ago that night after he brings her home.

Haw about also "Mystery Train" by Elvis Presley. Many people don't really consider him a country artist but he had numerous hits on those charts during the course of his career.
