I've tried some of the malls and couldn't find one. I'm travelling to Chicago this winter and I'd like to get one before I leave.

I tried the surplus shops at megamall and shouthmall and the selection was pretty bad. I doubt if the "winter" jackets they have there are good enough.
I tried Terra Nova because I remembered seeing lots of winter jackets there in the past (in robinson's galleria), but now in terra nova megamall there are no winter clothes - and it's all women's clothing now!

Cartimar in Pasay City. I bought my first trench coat there.
Of course, you should only buy one if you must buy before you leave. Becuase it would be best to buy your winter coat/jacket in Chicago. You are going to be sure that the style would be in season, and not the top style 10 years ago.

Try Terra Nova. They sell a lot of winter/fall jackets and clothes, albeit they're kind of expensive. There is a Terra Nova branch in Megamall and Glorietta.

nowhere. there's no place you can get a winter jacket there. you might be able to get lucky in the ukay2x stalls in baguio... but metro manila? goodluck. chicago's got one of the coldest winters in north america... have one of your relatives or friends send you a jacket from chicago before you leave instead.
update: a trench coat is not a winter coat, honey. it's only a fall type of clothing. it's not enough to protect yourself in winter... and it's for sure as heck not enough to protect you from an illinois winter.

Try any SM branch with a Surplus Shop. Ukay-ukays would probably have some items as well. Also try the tiangges like Tiendesitas and Greenhills. Try Unimart in Greenhills for thermal undies too.

you can buy one in ukay ukay stores around the metro. there are ones in makati cinema square, in buendia, in aurora boulevard and kamuning. just have them dry cleaned.
you can also try debenhams in shangri-la plaza mall but i doubt that they'd bring winter jackets here.
but i would really suggest that you buy your winter jacket in chicago instead because, 1) it will take up a lot of space in your luggage and most of your free baggage allowance (unless you get more than the usual 20-30 kg); 2) they might not be thick enough for chicago. chicago is cooold, you might freeze to death when you exit the plane and your purchase would end up as a waste of money and of precious baggage space 3) they might not be in fashion.
prepare for your winter trip by buying winter tops instead. long sleeves made of thick material and light jackets for layering. they come in plenty here and cheap. and then buy your winter coat in chicago :D
enjoy your trip!

Make sure you wear your inside in layers and don't forget your head gear and scarf and mittens/gloves. As we say bundle up. Snow is not really cold unless it is windy. Wind factor is the one that make it so cold and chilly. I used to live in the eastcoast for more than 20 years. I retired so I miss the cold weather in the westcoast
