They seem to be very much in favor of Mexican and South American immigrants, legal or not, vs the rest of the worlds legal immigrants that come to the US. So, basically, I wonder sincerely, if it was people other than Mexican and South Americans that are flocking into the US illegally, would the Democrats stand up and demand amnesty for them or treat them equal to all other nationalities that come here legally.

Honestly I'm just a little bit frustrated by the fact that because we have an estimated 20million illegal immigrants from Mexico, we are talking about Amnesty. We aren't talking about amnesty because we have people here illegally from any other places, those people aren't as important I guess.

I love getting answers from people who cannot even comprehend my perspective on the issue. Please, if you do not even understand my point, do not respond. If you can understand what I am saying and agree or disagree please, respond.
Most of these answers are to some other question altogether.

Yes, that is a great question, why didn't Republicans try for Amnesty when they had the majority..........I wonder..........uhhhhhhhh, yeah, ok, thanks for trying to contribute to the conversation anyway.

Lets see a group of people who assume another group is incapable of succeeding and taking care of themselves. This group assumes they are smarter and know enough to take care of the minority group. They give this group handouts instead of helping them to succeed on their own. Republicans know they can succeed and expect them to do so. There is no reason any able bodied person cannot have everything they want if they want it bad enough.

Sure, some are racist. So are some Republicans, and moderates and liberals, and independents. What a dumb question! It doesn't even pass as good bait. Also, neither Democrats nor anyone else INVITED the illegals into this country....oh, excuse me...the companies they are working for did....I stand corrected. Also, maybe just maybe there are so many more Latinos here is an issue of proximity....just maybe and not whether someone loves them more than other races. Oh, there are, without a doubt a fair number of Asian, Eastern European, African, Jamaican, Dominican, etc. illegals in this country. The Latino issue is just more apparent and makes a better wedge issue. The Republicans will use it to rile up there base, but only when it's close to election day, and they have never done anything more about it than the Dems. By the way, our current republican Pres. wants a bill to allow them to stay. Get squared away, kid. Your a mess.

What are you even talking about? Democrats believe in amnesty for the people who are already IN THE COUNTRY. It doesn't matter where their from. We think that it would just be easier to give the aliens that are here green cards than trying to move people out. It has nothing to do with where the people are from. We want to declare amnesty for those who are in the States now, and then put a tighter lock down on illegal immigrants coming in the future. It has nothing to do with where the immigrants are coming from, but it just so happens that the majority of illegal immigrants are from Mexico and South America. You should really know what you're talking about before you put questions like this on the Internet.

Why are you automatically assuming that all Democrats are racist? Sure, there are racist Democrats. Also, there are racist Republicans. But Democrats as a whole? HECK no. You can't assume that every single person under a party is the same. Are all Republicans the same? No. So same thing goes for Democrats.
Have you noticed that most of the people on here are conservative? Honestly, you need to stop bashing all the Liberals. They have a different opinion than you and just leave it like that. Thank you.

I don't thinks so. Your reasoning tends to be though. Not blatant but kind of subterfuged.
Racists seem to think because your from somewhere else, that you don't have the same human rights or the right to treated as a human being. I have a problem with that line of thinking.
Now, if you are talking about illegal immigration, I have a point or two about that. Cure the symptoms, and the disease will follow. Stop importing a majority of our goods from abroad, and this way business owners wont have to hire Mr. & Mrs. Illegal to do the work at whatever min. wage is now.
Conservatives point the finger at the Illegals, but can't keep from hiring them.

more republican bullshit GWB has and continues to do nothing about illegal immigration the republican congress did nothing and yet you only mention democrats
eldude the fact is that you could care less about illegal immigration (it's okay when your party is doing it), this is just a excuse to point fingers at the democrats
if finding a solution were the least bit important to you, you wouldn't be playing partisan games

Everyone is at least a bit racist if they would admit it. And that is all colors, not just white. By the way, yes the Dems probably want their votes, but the Republicans want to help companies with cheap labor. Why else would the Republican controlled congress for many years not do something about it?

I don't think anyone would think that someone trying to deal with the impossibility and economical impact of deporting 20 million people out of the US is in anyway racist. But if by chance it was then that would make Bush a racist.

Anyone that believes an entire race of people cannot achieve with out the help of another race harbors racist feelings. Sorry democrats, black people dont need your guilt in order to succeed.

Democrats see them as an untapped source of votes. That's why they want amnesty.
