I have sent them $1700.00 and may loose my home because I sent the last of my savings in hopes of a loan in the amount of $10,000 anyone out there please let me know if you ever received your refund ?

You know you have been scammed, but think you MAY get a refund? Please look up the word SCAM in any dictionary. Even if the scam operator IS caught, your money will NEVER be seen again.

Oh my. You got it right on the money (no puns intended). You PAID them this outrageous fee to obtain a loan for only $10K ?

Sad to say, you can kiss your $1700 good bye. You've been scammed.

Here's another post from a Yahoo! Answers respondent:

It is a scam! DO NOT DO IT! They tell you to send the money to them as a down payment and they walk away with your money and you get NOTHING in return. We got called by them and were going to do it until I researched them thoroughly. You are right ... the ID# cannot be found because it is fraudulent. Canadian authorities have never heard of this place and their credentials are bogus and non-verifiable. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!
