i am a photo major and tonight we had a review of our current semesters work. no one had anything negative to say and the professors are agreeable. however...i still feel that someone should be telling me its crap. i dont know why.

welcome to artist syndrome
we never are happy with our own work, we always think we could do better and not even praise of our work helps.
i personally think its b/c we are trying to shape our work like someone else.
i dont know, but i know it happens a lot in artists.
i guess its our cross to bear.

.Are you saying they are lying to you?Don't you expect more from your educational institution?Maybe you simply know more than they do and you needn't be in class since you know so much about your work already.I would ask for your money back from the college because they are lying to you and patronizing you when they should be laughing in your face.
Or maybe you're your own worst critic.That's natural.Shows you have the drive to be the best in your field.I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

It spounds as if you might be expecting more out of your-self than your classmates and teacher do. Sounds also you have alot of presure on yourself. Believe in what you do and represent. Hope that helps...
