When did anyone ever state plans to take over airlines, railways, oil companies or any other businesses?

The US is a market driven economy and no politician has plans to stop that.
Go do research on the economies of countries like France and England, and quit being a patsy.

Canada has national health care - does it sound like Canada is socialist? Here is a description of Canada's economy from the CIA world factbook:

""As an affluent, high-tech industrial society in the trillion-dollar class, Canada resembles the US in its market-oriented economic system, pattern of production, and affluent living standards.""

I'll bet he did say "shame on you, Hillary Clinton". Excuse me while I lol. What a wuss! Have you noticed how as soon as he gets himself into a tight spot where his own words come back to bite him in the ***, he starts whining and pointing fingers and saying everyone else isn't playing fair, like a silly, petulant child? Edit: QueenSer..., how come Obama "spoke clearly" this time, when he has to amend so many other statements of his and say the words he used were "poorly chosen"? For those who might want to know...the statements about rural Americans were not made directly to those rural Americans, but rather to an elite group of financial backers at a fund raising dinner in San Francisco, Calif. and Obama said he was "dismayed" that his statements reached the media and the general population. I bet he was, too. In other words, he will say anything out in front of people to get their support, but when he is in front of his backers, he has a very different tale to tell, demeaning and exposing his distaste for the people he wants to elect him. Charlatan.

Of course not, the answers given to this question are disgraceful. I don't like Hillary Clinton, but she's no socialist. She's actually closer to being a republican than any other democrat candidate. Why do people keep posting these lies?

Well, when we consider we have a democracy but 6 other countries have better educational opportunities, better adjusted real income, and better medical care, to name just 3 things, we can say that a democracy does not work well for us so perhaps a socialism will, and we could afford a lot of the social programs if we stop special interest spending, combine social security with civil service so that our employees, government officials, have to retire on the same plans that we, their employers, depend upon and support, and stop supporting other nations in the world with foreign aid but spend the money to improve things in our country insted.

She will push us further in that direction. Socialism in America sucks. The elites and rich are exempted from it. The lazy class benefits from it. And the middle class gets stuck with the bill and none of the benefits. Notice how many doctors are pushing for socialized medicine? They will continue to earn obscene amounts of money by over charging the people, while the workers are going to have to pay the bill for everyone. That means more people going to the doctor and running up the bill. And the rich doctors get richer. And the rest of us get crappy health care, and a huge tax bill.

She might socialize health care, but she wouldn't dare touch the economy.

If you look back to our founding fathers principles, they believed in the ideas of philosopher John Locke.

His idea was that a government ruled by the consent of the governed, and it existed to protect it's people's natural rights. Taking over someone private business would obviously be a violation of these rights.

As much as I disagree with Mrs. Clinton's political platform, I acknowledge her intelligence. She could not possibly be stupid enough to go against one of the founding principles of our nation.

This is the lowest point in American history! Hillary Clinton, a socialist, is a candidate for President and she takes illegal money from china.

Without a doubt that will be the case. For the ones that do not know her background and want proof---read "Hell to Pay" by Barbara Olson. Barbara died as a result of plane crash on 911. Her research is detailed on Hillary's background and future plans.

First off, why is a bunch of people co-operating for the common good socialism...then the Republican Party would be considered a Socialist organization, as would every NFL team in the U.S. Co-operation can get many things done that competition can't. Hillary and the Demos are for co-operation, the Repugs are for it only when it helps them.
And witdik, whats wrong with health care, and education?

No because even if by some disaster she wins she will not accomplish anything but make Bush look like a genius and that by itself would be a miracle.
