I was at home with my 1 year old daughter, we had just finished watching Barney and I switched the tv to a local channel just in time to SEE the second plane hit the tower. At first I thought it was a promo for a new movie that was coming out until Katie Couric started talking......then I was just stunned.

i was going to school, my mom was driving me to 7th grade, we had just started school the week prior too...i remeber i kept asking her what the twin towers were because i didn't know what they were at the time...when i got into my first period class my teacher wanted to watch what was going on on the tv, but we didn't have a television with cable, that night i went into my moms room and they kept showing the remains of the twin towers on the news. i remeber how black the sky looked, and the smoke against it

On my way to work listening to our local radio station. They were known for playing jokes so I didn't believe them. About an hour later, the patients began to tell me what was really going on, then I heard the sonic boom!

I was at work on the phone when the lady on the phone started freaking out-that is how I found out and then turned on our TV.

I was at work. I teach MRDD adults how to train for & Keep a job.
I had to be the calm one and arrange transportation for everyone. We did really well.

I was in middle school (8th grade I believe?)...I think I was in my German class when kids started to get pulled out and go home...then we all kind of wondered what was going on :(

just sent my son off to school. went to turn on the t.v to relax. when i saw the second plane hit. i thought it was a show. changed channels only to see the same

i was in fourth grade and our teacher knew about it before we id and she didn't turn on the tv because the class was being too loud - wondered if it was safe to go outside
