I've been posting similar comments here & STILL haven't found one satisfactory answer to explain the inconsistency here.

-NOW supported Andrea Dworkin... an anti-male sexist.

-NOW claims to be a "feminist" organization.

-Feminism is supposedly fighting against sexism.

-Feminism is supposedly an egalitarian movement.

So either NOW is not a feminist organization or mainstream feminism condones anti-male sexism.

I'm sorry, but you can't have it both ways. Can anyone explain this?

Sorry, but NOW is still VERY active in 2007

NOW's ties to anti-male sexists is quite relevant and it needs to be discussed.

...dude.

EDIT:

(ProfessorC) Now is a feminist organization. There are many feminists here. It's easy math.

Your blurring the issues, egalitarianism is the outcome and sexism is the male influence/cause being addressed. They are seperate things... and to achieve the outcome and defeat the cause - there may be a requirement for borderline anti-male practises to create a net outcome of equality.

I don't associate myself with NOW (and I can't, being a Canadian); they seem to have lost their way since the days of Betty Friedan.

Feminists love NOW. NOW shows everybody what a sexist feminist organisation it is.

No feminists ever come out against them or come out and devalue man-hating feminists.

So ALL feminists are sexist by definition of action and inaction.

Well find someone from NOW and ask them. I don't recall anyone saying they were a member of NOW. I'm not.

Can you please provide some evidence that NOW supported Dworkin, and what that means, exactly.
