What do you think? Is she any different from Aaliyah? Sometimes, I feel like Ciara is somewhat of a reminder of Aaliyah because they are both good performers. Your thoughts. Thanx!

initially, when ciara first came out, i thought the same... but now going back and kind of researching this a bit.... Ciara is no Aaliyah and never will be... Aaliyah blows her outta the water... hands down... i've listened to both at live performances... and on acapella songs... 'Liyah holds her own... ciara usually sounds like she's being strangled.. Aaliyah had a certain mystique and charm about her, i can't say the same for Ciara.

Nah i think they are different somewhat. Aaliyah just had something about her that worked on anything pop/r&B, movies and her videos were all of that and then some, dancing loved it. Ciara has the dancing thing going for her obviously and her music is cool...but its different otherwise from Aaliyah some similarities yes. I dont see her being the re-incarnation of Aaliyah though.
Different styles, different goals.

I agree that she reminds me of her in a lot of ways, but I have to say I don't think she is the re-incarnation of her. Ciara has a lot of ways totally unlike Aaliyah's. You are right about one thing though...They were/are both good performers.

I suppose one could say that. Ciara has a similar singing and dancing style to the late great Aaliyah. She even favors Aaliyah when she changed her hair color/style.

I've heard her being compared to Aaliyah and Janet, she does remind me of both in some ways, but I don't think she's copying either of their styles. She's a great performer and can dance her tale off.

if anyone has seen Ciara dance, she can DANCE her as* off, imo! I think she's more the new Janet and the new Aaliyah, although there will never be another one like Aaliyah, and Janet is in a class all her own when it comes to dancing -- Ciara is certainly making a strong case for herself.

I see what you mean. I am so glad, some folks, have not forgotten about the Late Aaliyah. She was a good singer and performer.

she is somewhat like aaliyah. They kind of sing and dance alike. I loved aaliyah and i love ciara.

no, but i see what you mean though. ciara has stated that aaliyah is one of her influences.
