Ever notice that when a woman has had bad experiences and goes on a man-hating rant.. she is usually supported, given sympathy and agreed with.

On the other hand.. a man who goes on a woman-hating rant is called a misogynist, is told "he is meeting all the wrong women", and told he has poor dating skills.

Isn't this yet another example of women being painted as the victims and men as the monsters?

because these days, women are straight-up more acceptable, period.

socially speaking, men are on the outs.

Many women who are celibate, choose that because of their moral upbringing or prefer to save themselves for marriage. Sure, you will get some women who are angry for "giving it up" as you put it, but I think on the whole. celibacy is choice not out of anger, just a choice they willingly make to save themselves for marriage. I saw a short commentary on this a couple of weeks ago where a bunch of college women formed a club in where they will remain celibate until marriage and they have each other for support. There are more and more of these things happening. Just a choice for most.

It is a very prime example of women being painted as the victims and men as the monsters. Listen I have had my share of those victim type moments with men; only difference is I just stood back up, dusted myself off and got going. I mean that's all that should be done, right? Right, cause what's the use in crying over it? No use at all.

I never see this happening in real life. Yahoo Answers isn't always the best source you know..

Since I've never experienced it myself, I can only guess that it's because society hasn't yet accepted that men can be abused by women. I believe that this is partially because our men are raised to be "macho"-to suck it in, keep it to themselves, be a "man". So if he gets raped or assaulted in anyway, he generally keeps it to himself and society will generally not take it seriously.

I think abused men need to start taking a stand and educating the world that this is a serious issue that shouldn't be taken lightly.

hmmm.

Many people I know would accuse either sex of being bitter.

And many would tell members of both sexes, "You just haven't met the right person."

But they would also say, "Yeah, relationships are hard." Again, to both sexes.

Feminists do tend to view men who are fed up as misogynist or at least accuse them of being frustrated because their sexist expectations aren't being met. And they do tend to be more supportive of women fed up with men, but that's not the bulk of society.

But by and large, the people I know don't base their friendly advice on their ideology.

Men and women who go on sexist rants are too angry to bother with anything rational. Because men to be somewhat more vitriolic, they get less sympathy.
