well as for the people who use them. That ranges from the crack head on the corner to the president of the USA. I know he said he didn't inhale but he also said"I did not have sexual relations with that woman"
LEGALIZE WEED!!!!!!!!
The only thing that makes weed dangerous is the fact that it is illegal. Prohibition did not work for alcohol. It only put it in the hands of criminals so the government finally decided to legalize it and tax it for revenue.I think we should do the same thing with weed.We have to stop throwing our kids in prison just because they had some weed. All that does is put them in with real cons and they learn how to do much worse things. We could free up jail cells for many who need to be locked up but aren't.It would be a great cash crop for the american farmers that are losing their farms.I know many lives and families that have been destroyed by alcohol but weed isn't even addictive. As for hard drugs i say get rid of them!!!! You hear that UNCLE SAM? Lots and lots of revenue!!!! Genisis 1:29 And God said, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed;to you it shall be for food" Marajuana is an herb and it yields seed. So god gave us this to use but not abuse.

Well I think that no one should use any drug that is not prescribed by a doctor for a medical condition. Although, I do not feel that smoking pot is wrong. I think they should make it a medical drug and make it legal, I also think that if these kids that smoke pot to be big shots would not do it if was legal. I do think that there are some people that can not just stop with pot. They have to take it further than this. Then in this case I feel they should not even do that. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, I hear that the T.H.C. in marijuana helps with the pain. I tried it and it did. So, only when my pain level is out of control will I ever try it again. You know what street drugs lead to with so many people. I mean look at the television and all the drugs that are on the streets. This really depends on if you have an addictive personality too. The kids are really getting into the meth stuff here in our town. It almost makes me angry to see the drug abuse out today. Best of luck if this is a problem for you. Get help while your still alive.

OK....
It depends on the type of drug use. If someone is shooting heroin every day or smoking crystal meth and is a burden to society and ends up steeling things to pay for their habit I have a really big problem with it.
However, if someone is a recreational drug user, smokes pot here and there, has an "E" party every now and then, but goes to work and functions well in society I don't see the big deal.
After all.... a lot of drugs are relatively harmless compared to alcohol. They only became illegal because they were being abused by people.
I know some people will say that recreational use leads to addiction and in some cases this is true, however I think in most cases people don't become addicts.

I think if alcohol is legal, pot should be also. Pot was made illegal because the U.S. government wasn't making any money from it, like they could alcohol. It has nothing to do with the government being "concerned" about people's health. If that were the case, cigarettes would be illegal.
But you asked about drugs per se and the people who use them. I think it's a good way to screw up your life. Everyone thinks they can handle it, that they're stronger than the drugs. That it's "just this once," or "just til my life gets better," or whatever. Don't use drugs as a coping mechanism. They'll only make your life worse.
Pot, though... if you know a reputable grower... send me some. :)

It depends on the drug. There are some that I don't consider any worse than cigarettes and alcohol. There are some that cause crippling dependencies, and become more than what one adult does with their body--I'm not going to make a list, most everyone knows the distinction. My opinion on the people differs with the drug--for the most part I feel if you have a dependency to anything legal or illegal it's a weakness.

I don't understand why people use illegal drugs. I think it is so stupid for people to voluntarily screw up their body and their lives so badly just for a high. I used to smoke pot, but that was the only illegal drug I ever did. And sure, I thought it was a lot of fun at the time. But now that I look back, I just acted really stupid and tired when I was high. It isn't really worth it. I still don't think that pot is that bad. It is when I start to think about heroin, coke, crack, meth, prescription drugs, etc. that I get really disgusted. The way people act when they are on these drugs disgusts me, the thought of what they are doing to their bodies disgusts me, and the most disgusting thing of all is when you meet someone who has been hooked to drugs for a long time, and the way they look, act, and smell, it is just horrible and sad. Part of me wants to feel bad for them, but part of me does not because it was their own stupid decision to try drugs in the first place.
I think people who do drugs do not value themselves or their lives, nor do they value the people who have to deal with them.

I think that its important that we should not necessarily equate "Illegal Drugs" with "Dangerous Drugs". For instance, marijuana (an illegal drug) is fairly safe to use as far as drugs go (no potential for overdose, does not generally impair decision making, not really physically addictive). However, legal drugs such as alcohol and tobacco can be quite dangerous (tobacco causes cancer, alcohol impairs judgment, both are physically addictive). This is a double standard of society. I think that some illegal drugs can be used safely in moderation and in the correct situations (marijuana, mushrooms). However, extremely harmful and addictive illegal drugs such as cocaine, crystal meth and heroine cannot really be used safely in any situation. I think that as far as the people who use them, it is hard to classify any illegal drug user because many different people use drugs for many different reasons. I think that those who use drugs responsibly and in a safe manner that does not affect their lives negatively for recreation are fine. However those who use drugs in a way that is harmful or cannot handle their drug use are in need of help (not in the form of imprisonment but in the form of health/ social programs).
Oh you wanted a general opinion.... well its a complicated issue...

I live near a crackhouse and a meth-lab. It is not fun...and it is not safe to be outdoors at night or early in the morning. There is constant traffic of undesirable people...cars all over the place. I do not feel safe...and am hopefully moving in a very short time.
However, I am an advocate for medical marijuana. The difference being, the symptoms of many people who are ill are greatly relieved by using this. AND without the liver damage that alcohol or many prescription drugs often cause.
ALSO: I am not one bit afraid of a pothead--they are mellow--not looking to fight. I'm very against violence, and substances such as coke, crack, etc. does cause violence in many.

people who use drugs are stupid. or at least making a very stupid choice, since most drug users are actors, artists, music figures, and trust fund babies. But, illegal drugs still need to be legalized, because the prision system is chock full of this type of people that only constitute a treath to themselves, and they should leave the prisions for true criminals who deserve to be there, and not these people caught using drugs.
The government wastes billions each month in 'fighting drug wars', etc, and all that b.s. that accomplishes nothing, but fill the jails and overwhelm the correction system. let people kill themselves if they want to. is up to their parents to teach and raise kids properly so they wont fall to this vices, and not the givernment.

I try not to form opinions of people and what they do. I'm not the one to be judging, that will come when they leave this world.
I was raised to believe that drugs were bad and bad for you. I was told that only weak minded people do drugs. People who can't think for themselves and who can't deal with emotions and situations try to escape it all by doing drugs. I was told I needed to be strong and stand up for myself, face my fears and problems head on, clear minded.
I have followed this advice and have found that my life has been REALLY happy, clear concience and thoughts. What I've never tried does not tempt me. Why would I want to try something that would make me want to throw up or peal my skin off.
My opinion is my own, I just choose not to associate with those who chose to use.
