I was wondering about this cause of the current CA fires and also because i saw some trees in my work place.

Anyway, what do you say?

yup. because wind will carry fires.

If there is a fire and there is "fuel" it will burn! That's why we are constantly told to remove dry brush.

High winds, hot temps, cigarettes thrown from cars, extreme heat in the wood & brush just starts a fire and arson. I read that cops got a suspected arsonist in SE San Diego county.

Yes, they sure can. When the Santa Ana winds are blowing at about 60 miles an hour, embers can be blown as far as five miles away from the original fire.

Most definitely! Especially with the kind of dry, hot, windy conditions in CA.
