lots of rolling green hills and woods full of mushrooms - don't eat the pretty ones with the orange tops. Nice trails thru the woods and fields for hiking which the Germans love. Pleasant little towns. The Rhine is a pretty ride - lots of castles. Go to Rottenberg on der Tauber - lovely medieval style village with lots of cute stores and restaurants. Nuremberg is great on Saturday for the street fairs.

yeah I'v been to the Rhineland and the Moselle valley a lot. There's beautiful scenery and a loads of tall pine-forested hills, big wide rivers, really attractive small towns, there's a pretty relaxed atmosphere which shatters a lot of peoples preconceptions about Germany.

I am in the military and got to live there for four years. It is a great place to live and visit. There alot of castles to visit, the place is really clean. They have no speed limit on the Autobahn(the same as our highway) They have great food, great pastreys. You can travel by vehicle to all of the other european countries or by train for really cheap. I would love to get the chance to go back. If you have any other questions let me know.
