Right now, I am being sued for using my house as a warehouse. I would like to know what in Canada (a link or information) of what designates your house to be a warehouse or not.

To conduct business, you must conduct business from a premisis that is zoned commercial.
Residential is NEVER commercial
So if you have a business that sells things from your house, you are non-compliance with your zoning.

And they will come after you, and your insurance won't cover you if you have a fire or cause injury on your property and all kinds of other bad things.

Most likely that's defined by city ordinance. Laws of that type are generally not enacted at a national level.

I'd wager that the suit states the basis for the paintiff's claim that you're using it as a warehouse and stipulates the code that you are allegedly in violation of. Look it up. Or better yet, ask your attorney!
