Unfortunately, the situation has gone very quiet at the moment, with no new info or news coming out.

This is likely to be the case until the trial comes to court, which has been scheduled in for the end of January 2008.

There was talks about the OFT coming to a compromise with the banks, with them lowering their fees voluntarily and avoiding going to court. However, this seems to have fallen through and the court case is going ahead.

The trial is expected to last a while as the issues are complex, and the banks are going to fight tooth and nail as they stand to lose a huge amount if the court case goes in the OFT's favour. Common sense says that the OFT should win, but unfortunately the UK court system doesn't work on common sense.

To keep up with the latest news and any developments, have look at my site below. I`ll be posting any new info as it happens, and was one of the first sites to break the news about the court case.

The site is free to use!

Now lets see ... the Banks stand to loose the cash and pay out lots of money .. now if YOU ran a Bank, would you :-
a) Put you case to the judges as soon as possible in order to clear up all outstanding claims
or
b) Delay, delay, delay, delay, delay , delay ... and hope the customers die of old age before the case is concluded ...
