it sure isn't a miracle drug. but it works ok for some women.
the best thing is to get a prescription fro your doc, because only doctor can see if it is safe for you. once you have visited doc, you can also order your meds online and save some money -
this is a good website from UK I have used several times. Probably one of the cheapest

Clomid is not a "miracle" drug, but it can help some women to conceive-it depends on the circumstances that are preventing them from conceiving whether it will help or not.

It is only available by prescription, and if used improperly (and/or without necessity) it can actually make it more difficult to conceive.

Clomid is a pill, not a shot. It does slightly increase the chances of multiple birth, but I believe the statistics are about 10% of users will become pregnant with multiples, and out of that 10% something like 90% will be twins-not higher order multiples.

I hope that this helps answer your questions, and I wish you the best with TTC-I now have a four week old that we TTC for five YEARS and I know the heartbreak and would not wish it on anyone. I hope you get a + very soon.

Clomid doesn't work for everyone. I knew an instructor who had been on Clomid for over a year and still hadn't conceived. The side effects can be similar to birth control, like headaches and hot flashes. I don't really think you need to start this medication. If you started your period then you likely ovulated. This drug is to promote ovulation in women who don't.

You're young and have only been trying for a few months. Keep trying before you consider hormone therapy. Most couples will conceive within a year so there is no reason yet to worry. Perhaps trying those new ovulation kits will help you along.

Clomid is a prescription drug used to induce ovulation. It is a pill, not a shot. You take it either days 3-7 or 5-9 of your cycle. Doctors usually won't prescribe fertility drugs for you unless you have been ttc for at least a year without getting pregnant. Try taking ovulation tests - you can get them at the drug store- to find out if you are ovulating or not. If you are ovulating, Clomid is not for you. If you are not ovulating, then Clomid may be the answer, but you need to talk to your doctor about that once you have been trying a little longer.

Even with everything in perfect working order in both partners, a couple has only a 20% chance of conceiving every month. 2 or 3 months is a very short time, really.

Clomid should only be taken under the direction of a Dr. There is a chance of ovarian enlargement. It also can make your cervical mucus hostile to sperm. None of which you want to deal with without a Dr.

"While many people think that Clomid is the answer to fertility problems, it is not the magic fertility pill many people assume. Only your doctor or other health-care professional can help you decide if Clomid therapy is right for your type of infertility."

Clomid isn't amiracle drug, it helps some and not others, and if you don't get pregnant in 3 months of use, get of a it, I did it for 4 cycles without pregnancy, and my ovaries got larger then normal size because of it, it can also make more cycts appear on the avaries

Clomid is used to stimulate ovulation in women who don't ovulate on their own. It's given by prescription so you have to see a doctor.

2-3 months is not a long time. Doctors don't assume there's a problem until it's been 12 months.

Keep trying.

Good luck.

Clomid is a drug that can be either injected or taken orally. it causes you to ovulate more than one egg at a time. it can be obtained by prescription OR you can by a generic brand at walmart that is taken orally. you take it on cycle days 5 thru 7 and you usually ovulate 10 days later, the ovualtion symptoms will be more severe so you will know when you are ovulating and therefore know when to have sex at the right time to get pregnant. it can cause multiple births due to the fact that it makes you release several eggs at a time. good luck!

hi there Clomid, helps women who need help conceiving because they're having a hard time ovulating to get pregnant....most doctors will only prescribe it if you've been trying for over 6 months to a year without success, you can still talk to your obgyn about it, they can tell you if it'll be good for you to consider in the future...
you can also read more about it and ask a doctor online for free, try www.FertilityTies.com
good luck!

Clomid is for women who cannot ovulate without medical help. You would need to be trying a lot longer and determining if you do ovulate before a doctor would prescribe it. Lots of other things can delay pregnancy.
