I've done it myself at times - normally adding something like
"That answers the question asked, maybe you will do better next time"
Last one was someone asking
"Does ANYONE knew 10 good things & 10 bad things Napoleon did".
I replied something like
"YES - An expert in the Napoleonic era would"

yeah I think its rude, and impolite. They shouldn't answer the question if they aren't going to provide informative and thorough descriptions of where they know the websites from.

I think when people do stuff like that they are just trying to be smart a$$e$. You know, it's like saying "Well, you didn't ask which website in particular, you just asked if I knew of any." *sighs*Some people...lol.
