Can you please try to explain what it is saying and maybe put it in your own words? Thanks!
There are three lessons I would write --
Three words, as with a burning pen,
In tracings of eternal light,
Upon the heart of men
Have hope! through clouds environ round,
And gladness hides her face in scorn,
Put thou the shadow from thy brow,
No night but hath its mourn.
Have faith! where're thy bark is driven --
The calm's disport, the tempest's mirth --
Know this: God rules the hosts of heaven
The inhabitants of earth.
Have love! not love alone for one,
But man as man thy brother call,
And scatter, like the circling sun,
Thy charities on all.
Thus grave these lessons on thy soul,
Hope, faith, and love; and thou shalt find
Strength when life's surges rudest role,
Light when thou else wert blind.

He wants men to remember forever 3 things... have hope through everything life brings, have faith because God is with you, and have love for everyone.
these are grave, but they will give you strength through tough times, and give you vision when everyone is blind.
thats my interpretation!

There are three lessons I belive to the most important for mankind, and everyone should remember them
1. Basically, every cloud has a silver lining, or something to that effect- everything has a bright side
2. God takes care of us all
3. Love everyone as a brother, and give them charity
Remember these lessons really well
Have 1. hope, 2. faith, and 3. love, and you'll have strength for the hard parts of life

A person born in this beautiful world has received three gifts from God, the gifts of faith, hope and love. Because of these gifts man is able to live his life to the full especially when he uses these gifts to the full serving his neighbor for love of God. Faith in the person of Jesus Christ is expressed when he believes in his Word and translate them into actions towards others. Hope in the Son of God whose examples are the guiding hand for every human being who comes into this world and who wants to be his follower. And love of God expressed through concrete service for others. If at the moment of a person's final journey on earth is found to be full of the gifts of faith, hope and love then a promise of eternal life is reached. Of these three gifts, faith, hope and love, is lived by the person in his earthly life, the greatest of these is love. Happy then is the person who live a life of love serving his neighbor to the full for God's greater glory and honor. He will surely receive a crown of joy, light and happiness in the life to come.

The poet considers love, hope, and faith to be the most important attributes necessary for successful living, but not merely in their generic, often misused terms, but in their deepest spiritual terms and through all sorts of adversity and trials.Excellent poem, by the way, though the language is a bit archaic...(which is probably why you found it challenging to decipher.) Who wrote it?

It's saying to keep those three things as a permanent part of your personality and everything will be fine.
When things look bad, keep your faith, your love and your hope, and everything will be fine in the end.

Basically the poem is an expression of how good emotions can bring one out of the rain. but it takes time for these realizations to surpass hardships. Lessons within [on some level--spiritual lessons; hope, love, faith]
I'll interpret one line quickly for you, where it says, "No night but hath its mourn" means to me, every moment of darkness one can [and will face at some pt.] in life is not w/out experiencing pain and anger within your soul.
"and gladness hides her face in scorn"
I interpret that as a mask. Gladness on the outside HIDING the truth--the anger that's really within.
"Have love! Not love alone for one.
But man as man thy brother call"
meaning love isn't enough by itself. People need people~lean on one another--the message here is HELP each other/give to one another
"And scatter"
Share-give of yourself
"like the circling sun"
shine your soul in other's lives [give, share, help others, love] -shine-give to everybody w/out prejudice.
Even though these gifts we have within ourselves by God, it's important to realize and USE these gifts in life.

and put it in your own words? Come on - why should we do your homework for you? Frankly, unless this is a college assignment, your teacher is asking too much.
