A mix of the indigenous people that lived on the island that is now the D.R. and the explorers from Spain. Some are a mix of the Spanish explorers and slaves that were brought over from Africa.

Dominican is an ethnicity not a race. You have White, Black, Asian and Mixed Dominicans. They're from the Dominican Republic.
