This Halloween, we are dressing my kid up as a dragon, so i thought it would be cool to be a Knight and my wife will be Princess. i've decided to make everything myself, and i have everything except a helmet. Do you know of any sites or do you have templates that show how to make a knight's helmet out of homemade material? (im looking to make something from foam board) or even better, do you know where i can find one, for a few bucks?

If you have one of those seasonal Halloween costume shops in your local strip mall, they might have one.

Check the second hand shops. You might find one there for cheap. Depending on what kind of helmet you want you could cut a form out of card stock or use a knit hat for a base. Then cover it with the chrome duct tape that Walmart sells.

Make a base of cardboard, that fits your head snugly. Add a frame over the top of your head, and make a seperate visor/thingie. then cover with white(or just cheap!) paper, and then either paint grey (or spray paint silver) or cover with duct tape.

I made a Viking helmet in a simalir way a few years ago. It helps if someone else can do the fitting. :)
