All politics aside don't be led into thinking that race is not a issue. It always is and you know it. We had to fight to get African Americans in every office of importance in the US. If you let white america make you think that you should vote on experience or anything else. White America will say get over it and that your vote should not be based on race, but just look at their history of not giving a fair chance to minorities and you will know where your vote should go.You will make sure that your son or daughter has no chance of ever being President if this man does not receive the nomination.

Who do you people think you're fooling. You have based employment, education, and the justice system on race. And now because you think a African American man might have a chance, that it should not be on race. Give me a break! lol

As a black, I have noticed how the black powers that be are siding with sista Clinton. We operate out of an Uncle Tom spirit while blaming the white man for a Jim Crow attitude against blacks. Because of special interests and money under the table, they do not want Obama. For decades, NAACP, Black Caucus and a host of other black affiliations have benefited from Democratic leadership. Of course, the monetary benefits never made it to the hood. They do, however, go out of their way to keep us ignorant in order to line their own pockets. Obama is democratic but will not be controlled. He will not give special monies without accountabilityin the name of "Advancement of Colored People." Hillary is a crook and will continue the Clinton's legacy. Every time I look around, a black who has rubbed elbows with MLK is endorsing Hillary. They so soon forgot our plight, yet they will turn around and tell us to hate the white man. They tell us that the republicans are our enemies. What they do not tell us is that they are living large with monies allocated for the community at large. Whatever happened to the TWO BILLION dollars Bill Gates gave to assist blacks with education? Whatever happened to the countless millions other regimes have given to the cause of the blacks? Why has it not trickle down to the hood? This Obama deal is exposing a truth that educated blacks have known all alone. Our leadership has brainwashed the majority of blacks. They do not want us to know that for decades they have robbed our neighborhoods. Obama might be the only one standing when the honorary black woman's skeletons come out of the closet in 2008. If she becomes a high risk, the party will never nominate her. Who do you have left Mr. Black leadership of America? Some have the audacity to question his ethnicity like Al (processed hair) Sharpton. Barrack Obama thinks for himself and is intelligent. This alone is a threat because he is not a puppet. Watch how they eat crow once it become obviously that it is not so easy for Mrs. Thang to acquire the Oval Office without a fight. The hispanic groups have equally ignored him, which is a plus. They are not supporting Richardson, who is part hispanic. It's all about Mrs. Clinton. She is the lady with the money bag. It is financially beneficial for both groups to forget their committment to the plight of those they represent. When it is all said and done, they both will go back telling minorities how much the White Man is holding us down.

Your statement has many flaws. First of all you assume it's the man keeping the Blacks down. I know for a fact that Whites have bent over backwards to give minorities every opportunity to succeed. Don't blame whites when many Blacks have become successful. Also you sound like you have a little race hate yourself. I would proudly vote for a Black person if he or she shared my views. To vote for someone based on sex or race is just dumb. If you elect a loser based on those criteria it would assure when the next candidate comes along they will have no chance. The Democrat party has become a group of enablers. It is not ok for the government to take care of you . Government cannot do anything right. The private sector is the only way to solve our problems. If you want everything for free be prepared to pay over half of your income to the government to get it. And then it will be poor quality. The Democrat party is selling you a lie. They want more power and the way to get that is to increase the size of government.

Speaking as an African American life-long Democrat I must say that will be supporting Hillary Clinton. By what you have stated above it seems that you are basing your vote largely by the fact that he is African American, and to a certain extent I must confess that it plays a role in mine also. The Republicans have messed up so bad that they have moved many of the moderates to support the democrats. It is a phenomenon that we have a great opportunity to put a minority in the white house, and one that may not come again for a very long time so it is important that we put the right person in this position. This person will have to clean up a tremendous mess, and be able to show that a minority can handle this task bc every move will be under scrutiny.

Hillary Clinton is more established, has more experience, and has spent her career fighting against the odds. Obama is prone to amateur mistakes and we just really dont know what he will prioritize as president bc I feel like he has no clear position on issues...I do really like Obama and I hope that if he is not selected as VP that he will at least be in a position to be the future of the party.

The masses are not open minded enough to vote accordingly. People will vote based on race or party, rather than looking at the individual, and what that person can DO. I just happen to be white, but I don't judge based on race. I know many persons of other races who are "better" people than those of my own race, and if it came to a vote--I'd give the honest nod to the one who most deserved it.

We can not and should not base our decision to elect a president, on the color of his/her skin. The same argument can be made that if we don't elect Hillary that our daughters will never become president and that African American girls will feel that only men can become president.
This argument is flawed, it's racist and it's wrong and it doesn't give African Americans enough credit that they will choose based on an educated choice on who they feel will be the best president. This implies that African Americans judge based on skin color. It's wrong when whites do it and it's wrong when African Americans do it, but I guess both races have prejudicial people in their midst.

You know it's nutty to vote for someone because of their race or sex. When I vote I try to vote for the best person. You have to remember that the dNC is being run by the far left now nad that may mean that some of the other candiates will not fall in line and vote just the opposite. As far as Sen. Obama he has some tough compitition with more experience, but the left will push Hillary and that will drive the more moderate democrats away. They may push a Hillary/Obama ticket to pacity them, but you have more competent candaites that will fight for the best of the party and not what the far left wants and that inludes what the chairman wants Mr. YeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh give me a break. No disrespect to Senator Obama, I like him a lot. But do you really think we should vote based on race? If African Americans all vote for African Americans, Asians vote for Asians, Latinos vote for Latinos and Anglos vote for Anglos, what kind of country is this? How about voting for the best candidate?

A schizophrenic racist. Thats new.

It has to do with being qualified to be the leader of the free world. And Obama is not even close to being qualified.

If it was just race, still, how is he the choice? The AfAmerican population is only 12%. Even based strictly on race he should not be president.

Please get over you 'Evil White America' phobia.

EDIT: Your telling AfAmericans to vote for Obama JUST because he's black. This could not be more wrong! It defines racism.

You don't really believe this garbage do you? I'm a woman but I absolutely don't think anyone should vote for Hillary because I want a person of her gender in power. You vote for the PERSON NOT THEIR SKIN!!!! (or private parts!) You are perpetuating bigotry!!!! Should I vote for Romney because he's a white man? That's just crazy talk. Stop making racial problems where none exists!!!!!

What a load of garbage. Basically what you're advocating is that people completely disregard what a candidate stands for and use race as the only determining factor. This is called racism. Doesn't matter if your black or white, advocating a position like yours is bigotry.
