Absolutely nothing. Be sure your welder ground cable is connected directly to the piece you are welding on. If you move from the frame to another point be sure the ground is moved to that point or part.

Not much provided the clamp is close to the work, which it always should be anyway. Basically the only risk of welding with the battery connected is that it gives the current a circuit to follow. But electricity is lazy and will always take the shortest route. So if your clamp is on the other side of the car, then the battery might be the shortest route and you may have problems. But if your clamp is that far away then the real problem is you dont know how to weld. But there is that one in a million chance, so lots of people do it as a precaution. And it wont hurt anything to do it. But I work on Volkswagons for a living, and when you diconnect the batt, the radio locks up and you need to get a hold of the security code to unlock it. So most of the time I dont disconnect the battery as it save me work.
What you should worry about is what is near your clamp or between it and your weld, because they are exposed to heat, current, and flux. Stay away from computers and modules especially.
And disconnect the battery if it is convenient.

I've read on welding websites that nothing has happened but it is often recommended to disconnect it. I would suggest taking that precaution since many of the electronic modules in the car are expensive.
I can't say for myself because any welding I'd do on my car would be with the battery disconnected.

Just don't do it. The power output of a welder could blow up your battery, melt wiring connections from power surges or just plain fry your cars computer. Anything could happen.
