I know ANYONE cand get a card, but I'm writing a book and trying to figure out a decent job, but not too good of a job for one of my characters so I need examples...not just "anyone can have one."

I would say mostly those in professional industries such as attorneys, bankers, salesmen, insurance agents but it could vary widely . . . I was at a blackjack table in Harrah's casino in New Orleans when a owner of a hip-hop/rap record label gave me his card. So I would add those in business for themselves who want to help get the word out.

I think it depends on what type of business you are looking to start. Is it something you are building from scratch or would you be starting a home business (turnkey)? If you are starting a home business, you could get a pre-paid credit card which would work for your business. In some cases, the pre-paid credit card also helps you to rebuild your credit, provided you use it consistently. I think with poor credit it would be quite a challenge getting loans or grants, especially with the economy being what it is right now. Banks are very cautious about taking any risks because they have recently been burned on a lot of mortgages and businesses. You might want to consider going the other way for now and starting something turn-key which is affordable and you can build your credit at the same time.

All of them. My moms neighbor cleans houses and she has one. My 19 year old cousin is a flippin dj and hes got some too. Now a days everyone does.

Therapist, Social Worker.....any job where people need to allow people the opportunity to contact them should either provide business cards OR if it is someone who is self employed they need them to market themselves.

Don't need any special one, just do it. Business cards aren't just used for business.

I guess any business can have there own business card. I have a rental business and i have a business card.
