I am trying to install The Sims 2 Deluxe, however when I insert the disk my computer won't recognize it. My computer WILL recognise other CD/DVD programs as well as normal CDs.

I have a eMachine T2341, with Windows XP. The Sims game is made for windows computers. Also, the game will work in my sister's laptop. Do you have ANY idea what the problem is, I really want this game to work.

Hi. Try using Windows Explorer and find a file called "Setup.exe" or similar. If you see it just double-click. If you can not see ANYTHING then the disk may be bad or your drive may need newer drivers.

use your sister puter to clone the disk

select end session rather than multisession

when the burner says to insert the blank read carefully because it tells you the type of disk
