Absolutely not. The only way I would have a problem with headscarves is if they were forced on the wearer. When a person wears one out of true devotion to their beliefs, you should not interfere. A burcha is another matter all together. Too much can be hidden under there.

if you banned the headscarve then why not ban the cross.?
i think it is stupid how people are told they can not wear a cross, they are small discreet things around the neck.
sure if it was massive and in you face i could understand how that could be a problem.
The headscarve is part of their devotion to theri religion ,just like the cross is to cristians.
if you find it offensive,GROW THE **** UP

If they made the Lone Ranger take off his mask when he was in public then yes they should ban headscarves. Didn't you read the story where a woman in the jury of a court played music all throughout the trial of a criminal and she hid it under her scarf?

Why is it that everybody thinks they have the right to tell women what they should or should not put on their heads, but men can ware all sorts of silly things, from beanies to table cloths, and no one says a word.

The UN can ban whatever it likes. It's not like anyone will pay any attention - more's the pity.
