Well, no because I read all the Harry Potter books 5 years ago (except for Deathly Hallows) so when I got around to watching the movies, I couldn't remember a lot of the little details from the books.

Thats what happens to me also! I mean, the movies are so different from the books that I just get angry! Everyone gets mad at me because they never read the books and don't understand! The Order of the Phoenix movie was very different from the book, that I just had to say something.

Never read the books. I enjoy reading history, political science, and things like that. I watch movies to get lost in fiction. So all I know about Harry Potter is from the Movies. =) I don't care if he is suppose to be gay or not, I still say Dumbeldor is one of my hero's of fiction. =) He is just so cool!!! =)

i individually like the flicks, yet yeah, the books are easily better. i think of the 1st 2 directed by employing Chris Columbus have been lots extra precise and "magical" than something. After that, all of them only have been given incredibly dark and tragic and crap. yet to respond to your question, confident, they did bypass away lots out. Why? as a results of fact they could desire to. you would be unable to continuously extra healthful each and every component from the e book right into a action picture, till you wanna watch it for 5 hours. As for the final one, I agree, it became a entire letdown. 0.5 of the action picture is spent with the demise Eaters attempting to get into the fort, by employing way of the teleporter field element, then, whilst they get into it, they do no longer do crap! So yeah, it incredibly is senseless. There wasn't even a conflict. lots of the actors kinda suck too, like Robert Faggitson. i became incredibly disappointed with the final one, yet something are ok.

Yes, all the time... My husband loves the movies, but he's not much of a reader, so I always explain things to him that are left out of the movies, or things they change. He's ok with it though, he often asks me questions about things that don't get explained in the movies.

Just keep it to yourself until after the movie
I do the same thing with my boyfriend. He doesn't read the books, but I LOVE, nay, worship them. So when we're done watching the movie, I always tell him the things that are different or stuff they left out etc.
He actually enjoys it.
If they STILL don't want to go with you, go by yourself. It's still fun! :)
