As much as I would like to agree with Blinkingtrees (since I went to Duke), I have to point out that not everyone agrees.

US News publishes a ranking fo US schools. They usually put Harvard first -- but gave the honor to Princeton this year. The link is below.

Princeton is technically hardest to go into, and all the Ivy League schools are supposedly top notch. however, it depends on what you want to do. For example, if you're much more into technical stuff, MIT is the best school you could possibly go to. Julliard is the best for the arts. It just depends on what you want to do, and what climate you would fit in with

it depends on you. i live in bakersfield, ca. that is not that far from UCLA. I want to go to UCLA just because it is an excellent college and im not so far from home.
