It is time for a reality check. I am hesitant to say that it is impossible for you to get into NYU -- so I will merely say that it is nearly impossible.

You have good SAT scores -- indicating that you may not have put much of an effort into your HS work. You may be able to get into a decent school and prove yourself. NYU is a possibility for graduate school.

there are never guarantees. there are too many factors you can't control, such as the # of people applying when you're applying and how their academic records are, you know, that kinda stuff. but NYU isn't that hard, so you should aim for 3.7 GPA unweighted and higher. take AP classes, do sports, community service, join clubs, keep grades up, get high SAT scores and high SAT2 scores, yeahh if you do well in all those areas, you will have a very high chance of getting into NYU. but you have a lot of time to think since you're only in 8th grade, so in high school plan and talk alot with your counseler and attend college events at your school or anywhere else, then do a lot of research on the internet on diferent colleges and majors. i thought i wanted to go to UCLA back in middle school, but since i started doing research and stuff, i don't want to go there anymore. well hope this helped, good luck!

Yes, the average GPA for NYU this year is 3.71! But your SAT is only a little below the average of NYU
