The comparison of Dworkin to Hitler has been made. Granted, they are on the opposite ends of the spectrum, but I still wonder what makes a human so hateful.

Waiting for the spew, girls.

You don't suppose, quotes like these:-
"I want to see a man beaten to a bloody pulp with a high-heel shoved in his mouth, like an apple in the mouth of a pig." -- Andrea Dworkin, Ice and Fire, (Weidenfeld & Nicholson, 1987)
"Marriage as an institution developed from rape as a practice. Rape, originally defined as abduction, became marriage by capture. Marriage meant the taking was to extend in time, to be not only use of but possession of, or ownership." -- Andrea Dworkin
"One of the differences between marriage and prostitution is that in marriage you only have to make a deal with one man." -- Andrea Dworkin, Letters From a War Zone, (Dutton Publishing, 1989)
"Marriage . . . is a legal license to rape." -- Andrea Dworkin, Letters From a War Zone, (Dutton Publishing, 1989)
"The hurting of women is . . . basic to the sexual pleasure of men." -- Andrea Dworkin, From The New York Times, Larry Elder, Smiting Moses, FrontPageMag.com July 10, 1998
"Heterosexual intercourse is the pure, formalized expression of contempt for women's bodies." -- Andrea Dworkin, Letters from a War Zone, (Dutton Publishing, 1989)
"Only when manhood is dead--and it will perish when ravaged femininity no longer sustains it--only then will we know what it is to be free." -- Andrea Dworkin, Our Blood: Prophecies And Discourses On Sexual Politics - The Root Cause, (Harper & Row, 1976)
"Rape is the primary heterosexual model for sexual relating. Rape is the primary emblem of romantic love. Rape is the means by which a woman is initiated into her womanhood as it is defined by men." -- Andrea Dworkin, Letters From a War Zone, (Dutton Publishing, 1989)
"Men are rapists, batterers, plunderers, killers; these same men are religious prophets, poets, heroes, figures of romance, adventure, accomplishment, figures ennobled by tragedy and defeat. Men have claimed the earth, called it 'Her.' Men ruin Her. Men have airplanes, guns, bombs, poisonous gases, weapons so perverse and deadly that they defy any authentically human imagination." -- Andrea Dworkin, Pornography: Men Possessing Women, (Penguin, 1979)
"Under patriarchy, every woman is a victim, past, present and future. Under patriarchy, every woman's daughter is a victim, past, present and future. Under patriarchy, every woman's son is her potential betrayer and also the inevitable rapist or exploiter of another woman." -- Andrea Dworkin, Liberty, p.58

...could be why she's considered one of the most venomous feminists throughout history, do you?

Abuse, insecurity, fanatical dedication to a narrow mindset, can all lead to a rather intense spewing of hatred. Some people become twisted into their own perpetual message, and lose the ability to differentiate where they end and the hate begins, so it becomes a closed feedback loop that generates its own hate. That's how it happens.
I know next to nothing about Dworkin, and am merely explicating on my own viewpoint on how a large amount of hate is possible. Chances are, and this is merely supposition, that she has a history of either abuse or belittlement, which is usually what creates a future filled with hate.

Well I didn't compare her to Hitler.

What I did was point to the fact that Hitler was an extremist & people in Germany denounced him & treated him like an extremist.

Feminists celebrate Dworkin & didn't even come close to a public shunning of a clearly anti-male hateful sexist. The National Organization for Women had this to offer about her after her death:

http://www.now.org/history/dworkin.html

Excerpt:

"Dworkin was one of feminism's most rigorous minds and fiercest crusaders. In her determination to articulate the experiences of poor, lower-class, marginal, and prostituted women, Dworkin deepened public awareness of rape, battery, pornography, and prostitution. Called "the eloquent feminist" by syndicated columnist Ellen Goodman, Dworkin's impassioned words always informed, provoked and inspired."

The National Organization for Women is a feminist group that supposedly fights for "equality."

To speak glowingly about a sexist bigot shows that they aren't even close to an egalitarian movement.

Don't try to tell me that "feminism is about equality" when a MAJOR feminist organization holds Dworkin in such high esteem.

Their jig is up.

I don't think anyone will ever know why she hated with such ferocity.

EDIT:

Someone wanted to know where Dworkin indicated she hated men.

How about these:

http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/a/andrea_dworkin.html

Excepts:

"Only when manhood is dead - and it will perish when ravaged femininity no longer sustains it - only then will we know what it is to be free."

"Men know everything - all of them - all the time - no matter how stupid or inexperienced or arrogant or ignorant they are."

"Men are distinguished from women by their commitment to do violence rather than to be victimized by it."

EDIT:

Aw what the hell... Here are a couple more:

"Institutionalised in sports, the military, acculturated sexuality, the history and mythology of heroism, violence is taught to boys until they becomes its advocates."

"Men especially love murder. In art they celebrate it. In life, they commit it."

Hard to say. Why don't you ask Devil's advocate, who just blocked me for speaking truth to ideology. I see why hers was the only answer I " thumbs downed " here before being blocked by this ideologue. Probably a ardent fan of that pitiful Andrea Dworkin.
You can block me all you want, Devil's Advocate, but it is that feminist ideology of your sort that is being truly blocked, as you marginalize yourselves in academia and the world.

Are you suggesting that Ms. Dworkin held hate inside? Hmm. I thought she seemed fairly competent in letting go of any inner hate and redirecting it at the world at large.

According to Wikipedia (don't laugh; I don't have time for intensive research):

" . . . an unknown man molested her in a movie theater."

" . . . she claims that [her ex-husband] began to abuse her severely: punching and kicking her, burning her with cigarettes, beating her on her legs with a wooden beam, and banging her head against the floor until he knocked her unconscious . . ."

"After she left her husband late in 1971, she spent a year caught in the Netherlands, where she claims her ex-husband 'attacked, persecuted, followed, harassed' her, beating her and threatening her whenever he found where she was hiding."

So it's fair to say that she had some deep-seated issues with men. But she should have sought counseling for this instead of reacting in such a vitriolic way.

I would think that she was abused by some men in her life. She speaks of men as though they truly do all want to control or abuse women. I doubt she ever met one really nice guy who was kind to her, or else, it was just too late by the time he showed up. It's really sad - she plainly lost out on a lot of great things in life due to her fear/hate of men.
