I have a tattoo. It took me a long time and a lot of thought before I got it. Remember that whatever you get tattoo'd on your body will be there for a long long long time. It's meant to be permanent!! Give your artwork piece a lot of thought and what it will look like on you in 10 yrs, 20 yrs, etc. When you have kids or grandkids they will ask about it...please take your time. Also, every tattoo artist is different, research the artist and some of the work they have done. Better yet, get a referral from someone you know that has one already.

I have a scar that is about 12 inches running down my left leg. This may not be a tattoo but it will stay with me the rest of my life. A tattoo is permanent unless you have a way of deleting it I would say no. It's your body but once you get one it may not be what you thought. Years later people change and wish they would of never done it. Good luck.

Yes!!!
To me tatoos are yet another form of art (which I love). I want a tatoo (of the colibri) so badly. I know it sounds crazy but thinking about the colibri give me sense of peace and I want that feeling with me all the time. And since I like the colibri so much and I also love to express myself (especially with art), what better way to do so (then on my body)? Actually, if you see my Y!A profile, I even asked a question regarding tatoos (and you'll see me ranting insanely again on how much I live - yes, I MEANT to say LIVE and not LOVE, although both would apply - art).
Hopefully I'll be getting it in the near future.

I would love a tattoo, however I always flash to the future when I'll be an old lady and how I'll end up looking like an ol' biker mamma!
If I ever did, I would like it to be of my family crest.

No. It's bad for your health. An MRI test can hurt you if you have tattoos, because there are magnets inside the inks used in that kind of art. If you go through an MRI, the tattoos will hurt because of the sucking action of the test.

I have one.
I think its' important to get a tattoo of something that means something to you personally. You see so many people with the same random tattoos and it just looks like they got a tatoo for the sake of it.
I designed mine myself. It is very personal and special. And no one else has it!

no i dont have any and probably wouldnt consider getting any, unless they were out of sight, in a place where tehy dont stretch and get fat in ur old age and that meant something to the me. it's really a matter of personal opinion. but i really hate seeing old fat people that have ugly tattoo's on their lower back or hip where they have stretched when they got pregnant or when they developed their muffin top. it's so not attractive!

I have 4 so far. A musical note on my shoulder, a moon and stars on the bottom of my back, a rose on my arm and my son's name on my other arm. I am not finished yet, want to get my daughter's name and another major piece that I haven't decided on yet.
Tattoos and piercings for me, are a spiritual thing that shouldn't be taken lightly.
