Get with a good doctor. I have PCOS and was able to concieve both my girls without too much help. As crazy as it sounds, birth controll is what helped me with the first. I was taking bcp's for several months, and then went off of them and started trying like there was no tomorrow. I figured that if I couldn't have kids I would have tons of fun trying. Was pregnant 2 months later. The pill regulated me enough to encourage ovulation. I got pregnant with my second right after the first. Lots of people said that once you have one when you have PCOS, your best chances are to try again right away. Good luck to you. PCOS is still so much of a mystery to all of us who have it. My heart goes out to you. Good luck.

I haven't tried the diet, but then again I'm not ttc yet. I was diagnosed with PCOS 4 years ago, so I know what that is like. I know they say there are some herbal 'cures' for PCOS, but I recently just read that some other ways to up your chances are just taking more B vitamins, eating more of the green leafy veggies, and just all around trying to exercise and eat healthier.

I to have pcos and I have been trying for a real long time to conceive, I just got diagnois in April of this year, if you are overweight and ttc with pcos, the best drug for you to as your gyno for is Metformin, I am on metformin but I am not over weight, metformin helps you to get a reguler cycle, and helps you start ovulating on your own again, so far this is my secong month on it and my cycles are now 29 days long, I no having pcos isn't the best thing in the world, but remember there is hope out there for us, many fertility meds are out there in aid to help us.

Its best to eat less carbs, breads, pasta, sodas, coffee, candies, and less intakes of sugar.

it is great to try a healthy low carb, no refined products diet, but i recommend seeing an RE. metformin is a good option for many women with pcos. and if that doesn't work then fertility drugs might help.
the first reponder was correct being on bcp's and trying as soon as you stop seems to ehlp a lot of women too. i noticed that my periods were somewhat regular the first few months i got off of bcp's.

I don't know much about the diet but I have had several PCOS patients who became pregnant while on Glucophage for their PCOS. If you are interested you can ask your OBGYN or see a reproductive endocrinologist! Good Luck-maybe you'll be asking pregnancy questions soon!
