Yes I think so. I had a boy and girl guinea pig that lived together to mate. When I took one pig out of the cage without the other the one left in the cage would cry for it's mate. Then when I started to bring the other pig back to the cage they would purr on the way over because I was putting them back. When the female died of complications from of a pregnancy the boy got so depressed. He barely ate and drank. He even lost weight. He has a toy in his cage that she used to love. He sniffs it all the time and when he does he cries for her. It's so sad!
I also had a 3 females silkie chickens that were inseparable. When the one female died the others looked for her and cried for her for 3 weeks! The two that are left freak out whenever they can't find each other. One time one of them went under the porch. The other one wandered off and the one under the porch panicked so much that it couldn't remember how to get out from under the porch. The other heard her crying form under the porch and came back over. When she did the other one ran out from under the porch and they ran off together.

I think thats some species like cats, chimps, dolphins all do. I do not think that an animel like a bird does though because birds mate with a new bird every time, but an animal like a dolphin is affectionate and mates with the same animal everytime.
So YES!

Love is a purely human phenomena. Animals' brains are too simply designed to be able to comprehend the complexity of love, and even the involved emotions in love.

no, they're too primtive, they only mate to carry on the species and pass on their alleles. only primates might be smart enough to fall in love. other than that, animals just choose the strongest or fastest to mate with to have superior offspring

i believe love is too complex of an emotion for animals to comprehend.
but doves and several other animals mate for life. you can consider that love i guess... if you want to.

No, I don't think animals fall in love. I think they know it's their job to reproduce with one another and then afterwards, I think they are basically normal with each other. I mean animals can be close and cuddly with one another, but in reality, I do not think they fall in love, truly.
