when keeping track of my temp. can I just use a $4.99 thermometer from target? because I have been reading about it and it said to use a basal body thermometer. Does it really matter which one I use? Can I start taking my temp tomorrow morning because My last period was this month on the 17th- 26th. ? Or should I wait?

any thermometer should work! what really matters is that you take your temps right after waking up, before you even get up, you can read more about this, and also ask a doctor their opinion for free, try www.FertilityTies.com
good luck!

The first poster is incorrect, you should not use a fever thermometer but rather a basal body thermometer. They are usually only slightly more expensive than a fever thermometer--I got mine at wal-mart for around $6. A fever thermometer reads a temp quickly, but a BBT takes a minute or more to read your temp so you get a much more accurate reading.
