italian taps version?

my father used to take us to a campground in italy when i was a kid back in the 60's and each night they played a version of taps. the performer played a trumpet. it is a very beautiful version of taps. could anyone help me with the artist? thanx for any help with this.

Period is corresponding (years 60's ) and from yr explanation I guess they were a few pieces performed by Nini Rosso. As far as I know at that times he was the only one Italian singer playing the trumpet .
