apparently its a crime to hav ur own style within a genre, so she made a pop album (cry), other artists change direction in their careers, sum make their career out of changing but faith experiments a bit and is shunned....i dont get it.

i'm from the uk were faith doesnt come much as she has a young family and i commend that, it seems that cuz she doesnt hav a DUI or caught partying 2 all hours shes not worth much. her example i think is one that needs to be commended more often.

reba mcentire said that the country music scene wont realise wot faith meant to it until she leaves. her music crossed genres, introducing new people to country every day.

some one please make sense of this for me????

Yes, people think that because Faith refuses to make the same album as she has previously done, or make the same albums other artists make, people think she should not be country. Honestly, yes, Faith's roots are country, but I don't think she necessarily labels herself country, as she realizes she has reached a broader fanbase outside country. Faith makes music- great music- and that's all that matters. If "country" fans don't like it, then that's their problem, it just goes to show that a country girl has true talent to sing whatever her heart desires, and make it her own. Faith is Faith, whether she is more country or more pop. She stays true to herself, what she believes, and has a beautiful family.

A lot of country music fans are snobs. Faith HIll isn't "country" enough for their tastes because she enjoys crossover appeal. It's the same thing with Shania Twain. This is in spite of the fact that much of what passes for country music today is really countrified pop.

There IS no sense to it, that's why there's no sense to be made of it.

Faith is a wonderful singer, and one of the things I love most about her and Tim (and EVERY artist of any genre) is that they pursue their artistry.
I have to admit I don't like every song Faith or Tim sings, but I love the fact that they both stretch their artistic talents (and muscles!) in different areas.
In fact, this holds true for every artist!

I guess the best thing to say about it is "Some days are diamonds. Some days are coal."

What it all comes down too is nothing but pure jealously. Without a doubt she has truly got it all... She's actually living the life that most women would die for. Faith is the ultimate girls, girl...who just happens to be married to the ultimate guys, guy. Their marriage isn't just on paper, and it's not for the benefit of making money. All you have to do is see them when they are together and you'll witness first hand the unbreakable bond that binds them together. I saw them in concert years ago when they were just friends. She opened for him on tour. In the middle of his set he asked her back out on stage for a duet, and I can remember thinking that something was going on between the two of them. You could almost feel the chemistry between them..

They have been blessed with 3 beautiful daughters and they put family above all else. And you can't forget how truly talented they are. In music, in acting, it seems that there is nothing these two can't do. Combine everything and you get as close to perfect as your gonna get.

Bottom line...most people search their entire lives for what Faith has. As sad as it is, the only way some people can feel good about who they are, & what they have is too bash someone else. Like I said it's just plain ole everyday jelously...

i think there's more of a prob with her with the traditional sounding country music lovers more so than the young people cause faith seems to be dancing to the beat of a different drummer as is all of the rest of this new sounding stuff and it's just not considered country..it's just being played on country radio.
