There's alot of things I could say in response to this question, but the fact is, anything I would have changed in my life, would have also changed everything else. There are too many people that I love, too many experiences I've had that I am too glad are a part of my life. I've made alot of mistakes in my life, but everything as it has been, culminates into who I am now along with everything and everybody that is in my life. I could give none of these up.

I regret not going to physicians assistant school when I had the opportunity (when that was a new field). I turned down the opportunity because my new husband forbade it. Had I known that he wouldn't stick around, that he would leave me with a four-month-old infant to raise alone without child support, I would have completed the school anyway.
I regret not marrying the right guy. I didn't recognize him as the right guy until years later. Who knows where he is now, and what his life is like?! (I told my now-grown daughter about him, and her immediate response was, "Mom, that was the guy you should have married." I never expected that response from her.) My life would have been totally different; not that it would have all been rosy, but I would not have had some of the struggles that I had by marrying the wrong person.

I'm 60. If I call myself middle-age, I'd presume to die at 120, but when you get to 60, you realize you're not old yet. There's a one-liner about this: "The older you get, the older 'elderly' is."
I wish I hadn't succumbed to conventional expectations at each decade -- as a teen, to go steady; in my twenties, thirties and forties, to try settling down again. I wish I'd always known I work best independently.

I really don't regret anything. I would like to have traveled the world but when your young you usually don't have money for things like that.

I wish I had dated more, or atleast tried to. As a result, I ended up with a woman I've never been in love with...

I wouldn't have waited until 'later' to do things/go places. If you wait to long, life passes you by and you may never get the chance or if you do, may not have the $, health, energy, etc to do it later.

Always wanted to do Architecture, but my maths was just not good enough. I still love looking at different building and types of Architecture . I am very fascinated by it. And use it a lot in my paintings.
