they are gas appliances.. m,y stove takes forever to heat up and the dryer takes 3 cycles to dry ordinary items. could this be a gas related issue? or is it just that the appliances are old? any trouble shooting hints would be appreciated.

The dryer may have a clogged lint exhaust. Disconnect the pipe and pull out all the lint.

I don't Know about the stove. A gas stove should heat up quick.

The dryer is clogged up with lint so disconnect the pipe and get the lint out. As for the gas stove the jets may be clogged with grease so I would suggest putting a bowlful of really hot water inside the stove to loosen the grease.close the door and leave for a couple of hours and then give it a good clean. I think this will solve the problem.

Hope this helps and have a nice day. ;) x

You definitely need to clean the lint filter and replace the exhaust hose on your dryer. Lord only knows when they did it last.... it's way more energy efficient, and could prevent a fire!

It is possible that the gas pressure is set too low. The gas company would have to check it.
