yeah! I've given almost a gallon! It's pretty simple (and painless!) to do and you really have NO idea how life-saving it is! Chances are that either *you* or someone you love will someday need blood... so GIVE!

I gave blood lots and lots of times. The first time I felt like I had the flu afterward but it didn't last long. I always feel proud after i give blood. BTW: Good for you! Giving blood is a great thing!

I have given blood regularly since I was 17. I am now 70 and have never had a bad reaction or any trouble at all.
O+ is the universal donor and that is what I have.

Yes, I've donated both whole blood and platelets (personally, I find it much more interesting and enjoyable to donate platelets, plus there’s a greater demand for these) and, while I've always felt proud of myself for helping others afterwards, I've never felt faint.

I am not able to give blood because of medical problems. But I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to you and all who do donate! I was very ill last year and had to have 10 pints of blood transfused. You people saved my life! Bless you - you are a hero!

Many many times.
I've given blood at blood drives in the community. Almost every time they come I give them what they ask for.
I've given my blood for my children while working on projects for them and scraping a knuckle or 3...
I've given my blood to perfect strangers in the course of my job... crawling under a car to get a little girls mother out I burned my face and smashed my nose on the exhaust.
I've given my blood to my friends in countless situations over the years just helping out. You cant get 4 guys together and power tools without losing a bit of blood.
Giving of yourself is selfless, whether you intended to give blood or you just intended to help out, you still gave.

I do it every 6 months. The cookies and drinks afterwards is a treat. I also feel good that I contributed to something.

Yes. My school has 3 blood drives a year, so I donate whenever I get the chance to.
