Country music is just too damn....well.....country for me and hip hop is about all disrespecting women, being materialistic, and bragging about how many guns a person has. I dislike both but I think hip hop is worse because of the message it's sending. There are a few poets still left in the game but they are few and far between.

ok.....all of u people have jus offended me when saying country sux. i live in the SOUTH and country is mostly what i listened to. it has a good beat and actually has a good meaning behing the song. the music videos r better and hip-hop is nothing but $h!t!

Definitetly hip-hop. Even though country is slower and is an acquired taste, it at least takes real work to learn to play the guitar, write meaningful lyrics (even if they are sung slowly and in a melancholy fashion), and actually sing, not speak.
I have an open mind and I tried to listen to Rap, honestly I did, but I just can't see what people see in it other than it's catchy music that you don't have to think while listening to and it's conveniently on the top of the charts, so you don't have to (God forbid) actually search for real music.

it is not twang and hillbilly it is an up beat down to earth all about real life type of music. hip hop is so dumb. about stupid things that will never happen half the time you cant understand the words. AND COUNTRY KEEPS IT CLEEN we dont swear.
