OK so today i got this pond kit from Bamco? im not sure if that the brand but that might have been it. Anyways, my brother took the little "filter" thing (it was kind of a spongy material like a filter but it may not have been one) and he cut it up and now its ruined. I was wondering if anyone knew where i could buy another one of these. PLEASE HELP! This pond kit it a present for my dad, who may not be around for very much longer. The spongy "filter" was square and had a slit for a cord in it and a cube shape cut out of it in the middle. if anyone knows where i can buy another please tell me.

If it is a small piece of foam, It might be the pre-filter for the pump so that the pump doesn't suck in large pieces of debris. Usually a plastic housing that screws on to the pump fits that piece of foam. There should be a name somewhere on the pump or on the box or in the instructions from the manufacture. If you can find a name you can get the part on the Internet or at a local pond supplier.
Could it be just a piece of the packing that comes in the box?

Check you local pet store...like PetsMart...they carry a lot of different filters for ponds...and if they don't have it they may be able to tell you where to get one.
