BGKs get about 8-12" in captivity, but grow slowly compared to some other fish. They are very interesting fish (I have 2) and I can understand your wanting them, but they will most likely outgrow your tank in about 6 months. It is always best to avoid buying fish that you can not accommodate at their maximum size, so if you really have your heart set on them you will need between a 60-90g tank. BGKs are erratic swimmer so the most important thing to consider when buying them a tank is the dimensions. They need a tank that is wide enough (as well as long and deep) for them to turn around at their full grown 12" size. Hope this helped.

not really. for a fully grown BGK you need to have at least 75 gallons to 100 gallons.

my largest BGK was around 24 inches and it was in a 125.

They dont grow quickly but you still need a larger tank that what you are considering.

Your tank is definitely too small for a Black Ghost. They grow very rapidly when fed their correct diet(live fish ,earthworms etc.) At adult size they can be almost as long as your tank.
