Do you think the California Firestorms could be terrorist related? Some of the fires were caused by arson. Who is to say that the arsonist is not a terrorist in some way or a devil worshiper or a pyromaniac? We've been warned of terror attacks we least expect, could this be it?? What is your opinion??

Here are the possibilities:
1...Saddam Hussain's ghost made the fire with his WMD.
2...Bin Laden crashed the planes to the trees.
3...Suicide bombers attacked ghetto forests of California to kill the yids and kikes living there.
4...Hitler's ghost is back to make another Holocaust.
5...Ahmadinejad's misguided nuclear missiles hit California forests instead of Columbia University.
6...Arnold Schwarzenegger is playing another Terminator.
7...The Dems, who had earlier caused Hurricane Katrina, made the fire to show the Republicans are losers.

But the most probable cause is:
Carfornia wetbacks didn't put out the fire after they had a barbecue.

no, the California fires are not terror related. California gets these strong winds this time of year called the Santa Ana winds, combined with fire, they create the firestorms.

If you do not live in CA, then perhaps you are not familiar with the terrain. Over by Malibu and southern CA in general, the land is composed of large hills covered with tall grass and brush. This time of year, the grass and brush are very dry and the winds help dry it out further.

Any type of open fire could easy get out of control and spread very quickly in the 60-80 mph winds that have been blowing. Even a cigarette tossed out of a window can start a fire or a catylitic(sp) converter on a car, if driven thru grass, can start one, sparks from fireplaces are another grass fire starter.

A few unwise people might try to start a controlled burn fire to clear an area around their own property to protect it from fire. In CA, this or an untended trash or camp fire could be classified as arson. There are even big fines in CA if a motorist throws a lit cigarette out of the vehicle window and a policeman sees them do it. One of the definitions of arson is purposely setting a fire.

Prairie fires, grass fires, and forest fires are a naturally occuring force of nature. Many are started by lightening. It is nature's way of clearing away dead growth and so new growth can occur.

The unfortunate thing is that people build their houses in the above areas for many reasons without understanding the natural forces that can cause fire or hazards that can happen if a fire breaks out.

Hope this helps you to be a little less afraid.

No. I heard on CNN that one of the fires might have been started by an arsonist.

Some of the other fires were probably started when a downed power line got caught in some dry brush during the Santa Ana winds.

I really hope it's the latter. If it was the work of an arsonist, then he/she/they would have to face up with a lot of angry SoCal residents.

They could be caused by terrorists. How many times have we had threats by terrorists, radical Islamists? Some say that it was caused by the Santa Ana winds. Now I read that it was caused by the US government. It is like the blame game again. We have been warned by terrorists and that even the borders were used to cross from Mexico. Even now, there is a huge list of terrorists who are being investigated by the FBI, even in our country. Then you hear about suit case bombs that were planted in big cities by terrorists. I think when terrorists makes such threats, we should take them seriously. Just like we should take the Iranian president's threats serious against Israel and the US.
