The first Color transmission was 1939, at the NY World's Fair.
Neither became regular til after WW2

Colour TV did not come until the 1950's, but the BBC did have television before the war.

NO!! They did not even have black and white TVs during WW2. TV did not become a household word until about 1950 and then not everyone had one. My family didn't get one until 1955 or 56.

No color. Some black & white. Small pictures , maybe 6 inches wide. Only got a signal for a few hours a day.

no tht is why all the documentary footage on history channel is in black and white and a lot of other movies from that time as well also if yoou watch a movie from that time and someone on the movie is watching tv it is black and white
