most people i meet seam ok or nice meaning friends family but,it never fales they always do stupid things that were hert full or just out there......why????......it drives me nuts!!!!

Everyone has a secret side, a hidden aspect to their personality and we only see the public side except those who get into more personal relationships, of course. Jekyll-Hyde is very common, there is a psychological tool created by Joseph Luft and Harry Ingham in 1955 called the Johari Window, and it consists of sections, or quadrants:
Known to Self-OPEN and HIDDEN
Not Known to Self-BLIND and UNKNOWN
Known to Others-OPEN and BLIND
Not Known to Others-HIDDEN and UNKNOWN
We have sides to our personalities that we are aware of; the ones that are open, the ones that we hide from others, and the ones we have but don't see.
We have other sides that we do not see and are not aware of.
Pf course, we can never see ourselves the way others do, and when we do things that hurt others, we do need to be called on it and be made aware of it. This is where the Jekyll-Hyde aspect comes in.
Most of the time Dr Jekyll was Mr Hyde he was aware, but he either suppressed some of the memories of the things he had done because they were so terrible or he truly was unaware.
Read up on the JW though; it's really fascinating.
