I am 46 now and I have to say when I turned 40 my life changed an awful lot . I found that the kids were all grown up and going their own ways in life. which left me with a lot of time on my hands to do all the things I never had the chance to do when they were small. so ina way it is a new beginning

i agree. i'm 35 but every couple of years it's like my life begins again and something amazing happens and i look back on my life and think WOW. Even the hard stuff, when you come through the pain it's like being reborn.
I'm looking forward to turning 40 even more than i looked forward to turning 35, and 30.

Yes it does. At 40 I have more money, more fun, I don't take any messing, I have a better sense of humour and see the funny side of things more so than when I was younger. Of course, I have a few more wrinkles, but there are things you can do about those!

Not really but it changes a lot,
I go out more than 10 yrs ago,
Kids have grown up, so you can do more as a couple rather than a family.
Also kids do there own thing now so leaving me and the missus on are own more=more nookie!

i started to realise life was good at 40 , took 6 days in a swiss hospital and a mad rush to be home in time for my daughters 5th birthday to make me realise life starts at 40 , lots of water under the bridge now , but still plenty more bridges to cross before i fall in
