If I stay away from everybody when I have a bad cold or the flu, I look real good from their point of view!

If you've got the flu or a cold, you naturally aren't feeling well
to go out the door. Nor should you expose anyone else to it.
So stay home, and keep dehydrated and eat sensibly to keep
your strength up and above all, rest, so that your body can do
the job of fighting it all off. Needless to say, you wouldn't be
caring what you looked like all that much in staying home and
out of the public eye. Not unless, you were very very vain.

When I am ill there is absolutely NO way I can transform puffy heavy lidded eyes, runny red nose, and mouth hanging open to breathe! lol

I've been sick for over a month trying to treat it myself, thinking it was bad cold and finally went to the doctor...guess what? Pneumonia..got a biggie antibiotic which this morning I promptly reacted to with puffiness and swelling - then had to take Benadryl for that...just got home from getting a replacement prescription. I have just about given up on my looks until I get well. All I can muster is a shower and comb my hair and a touch of lipstick...even bought some eye serum which I paid an arm and leg for and usually works...but nada this time! lol

Hope you have better luck :-)

The Flu, I stay as far away from everyone else as possible. Even when I occasionally have a cold, am careful to wash my hands frequently, not sneeze or cough on anyone, dispose of tissues right away and I use Lysol spray or something similar.

Stay home and get well. Then you can look great. Usually people say to stay home and not spread germs. Great, and I wish people would. For those who can't/won't, whatever, do it for yourself. When you are sick, your own immunity hits the skids and you are FAR more vulnerable to other illnesses or variations on the viral theme you are already hosting. Had a relapse? That is probably why.

Interesting article, but if I have more that just allergies, I'm not going anywhere, unless it's an emergency. When I'm feeling bad, I don't much care how I look. I tend to have dry skin/lips, so I always use moisturizer and chap stick anyway.

You need to stay at home so you don't give it to everyone else. We all look terrible at your age with colds and flu. I will look at the site it sounds interesting.

Stay home and let your body rest. I can't imagine why people want to drag themselves out the door, when they are feeling bad. Not only is it bad to push your immune system that way, but it's not all that healthy for the other folks you come in contact with.

I have learned that nothing is as important as staying away from others while we are contagious. Why would you want to infect the people in your life if you dont have to. I stay home until well. In food service that is our only choice.
