He's such a classic that sometimes I forget about how brilliant he really is and I am listening to him right now so curious to hear your thoughts...

Bob is my all time favorite. I could listen to him (and have) 24/7 and not get sick of his music. I can't choose an all time favorite Dylan song, but I can choose an album...Desire.

Desire has four of my all time favorite songs of it Joey, Hurricane, Romance in Durango, and Isis (my name sake). "Joey" is just a masterpiece, it gives me these shivers every time I listen to it. That line, "I guess he had to say one last goodbye to the son that he could not save" is the saddest but most beutiful line I've ever heard. Ever. Hurricane is such a phenomenal story, and apart from having an extremely pertinent and important message, it's just one of those songs that you can't help but sing along to, it's so good. In "Isis", I absolutely love the ambiguity of the story, and the kind of mythical setting that the song drops you in. I also love Dylan's voice in this, especially the way he says "That aint' ne-ces-sary ". As for "Romance in Durango", it's just such a whimsical song, it always makes me happy. I love the opening line, where he says "Hot chili peppers in the blistering sun...". It's such a fun and hopeful song. The spanish is cool too.

"Desire" has more raw talent and better songwriting than 99.9% of albums out there, in my opinion. It's one of those albums that really draws you in, and elicits real emotions in the listener. It is a true work of art.

Dylan's songs are either good or great...haven't found a bad one.

I just can't decide between Knocking On Heavens Door or Hurricane. Both are extremely powerful songs and the fact he is still performing today shows that he is one of the world's greatest songwriter/performers. "A modern Shakespeare" I read not long ago.

I can't really pick just one...

Idiot Wind
Subterranean Homesick Blues
With God on Our Side
Ballad of a Thin Man
It's All Over Now, Baby Blue
Masters of War

"Blowin' In The Wind", because along with "Knockin' on Heaven's Door", it's the only Dylan song I can listen to over and over again at once. I get sick of Dylan's singing quickly, so I don't listen to him much, though I do understand his influence.

Quite a few of his songs are my favorites. I think "Blowing in the Wind" takes the lead. :)

Lay Lady Lay. That's the only song he ever sang where he didn't sound like a retard. I know a lot of people think he's some kind of poet or something but sorry, and I'm not alone here, I think he's pretty awful
