Hi I’m looking for a new snowboard set up. I’ve been boarding for about 5 years. I currently ride a Ride Snowboard size 148 with flow bindings. I’m thinking of getting a new set up board & bindings.

I’m a girl, about 128 lbs, looking for a good size board and bindings that I can take cruising down that mountain that can handle all types of weather and terrain (powder, choppy, icy, etc) and if I attempt to do jumps (which is rare) it wouldn’t be to heavy to left in the air. I’m open to any brands and types of bindings.

Any recommendations?

K2 Luna snowboard. 149 cm. Any quality strap-in that you feel comfortable with. Flows are heavier than normal strap-ins.

The sort of board you need going by the type of riding you like to do is an all mountain/ freeride board. Some good boards that would suit you and your style of riding are
Apo Abyss
Burton Feelgood
Arbor Push
Volkl Shine
Sapient Solstice
Solomon Lark
Roxy Envy
Atomic Polarity
O-Matic Benatar
Nidecker Princess
Ride Verona
As for the bindings if you like Flows you could just upgrade your current set, but i would recommend Ride bindings personally they are the best ive ridden, Good Luck.

Most high quality manufacturers make lighter boards for women (Ride, K2, Burton, Rossi, etc) which will have better flex and response for someone your size - my favorite is Ride.

For the bindings, I assume that you have small enough feet also to use women's bindings - the cheaper ones are just scaled down full size versions but the better ones use lighter materials and will make it easier for you to take to the air - again, I like the Ride bindings. Go to their site and check them out.

Do you live near a Sports Authority store? They have the Sniagrab clearance right now and the women's gear is pletiful and going for the best prices.

Good Luck
